Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, thinks the
statement by Russian president's adviser, Sergey Glazyev, that Armenia
would lose sovereignty in case of initialing the Association Agreement
with the EU. "I don't want to comment on such statements which insult
me", - he said during today's discussion of the draft budget 2014 in
the parliament.
He said that a team of professionals from Economy Ministry,
Finance Ministry and Agriculture Ministry were participating in the
negotiations with the European Union. They discussed in details every
point and paragraph of the Association Agreement, he said. "This means
that we are very well aware if there is sea fishing in Armenia or not",
- Mnatsakanyan said.
To recall, there were some amazing howlers in the text of the
Armenia-EU Association Agreement, says Sergey Glazyev, Academician
of the Russian Academy of Science, Advisor to President of Russia,
Komsomoslkaya Pravda writes. Under the Agreement, Glazyev said,
Armenia pledges to fulfill the EU's directives in the field of sea
fishing and cross-border trading with the EU, though Armenia has
neither access to the sea nor borders with the EU.
