US-BASED ARMENIAN PUBLIC INITIATIVE JOINS "WE PAY 100 DRAMS" MOVEMENT

The United States-based "Armenian Union" public initiative has released
a statement.
"Armenian Union," the USA based public initiative, is declaring it's
solidarity to "We pay 100 Drams" movement in Armenia and joining the
initiative to form a common agenda to restore social justice and the
rule of law, to eliminate the corruption and impunity, to develop
state and local government accountability mechanisms.
"While being fundamentally non-political organization, we cannot stand
aside and just watch the struggle of our brothers and sisters. Within
next couple of days, Armenian Union will announce its support
program and will take an initiative to enroll other organizations
and individuals to the movement.
"We urge all the healthy forces in the Diaspora, NGOs, public
initiatives, traditional parties and their youth wings to work together
and contribute to the emerging movement," the statement reads.
