VivaCell-MTS presents the Seventh "Return" Classical Music Festival
The Seventh "Return" Classical Music Festival opened at Aram
Khachaturian Concert Hall. With the continuous support of Armenia's
leading telecommunications operator VivaCell -MTS, the traditional
festival is a chance for the audience to hear masterpieces of classical
music performed by our talented compatriots living abroad.
"In the modern world there are no geographic boundaries for the
culture; people who want to achieve a successful career can choose to
realize their potential both in the Motherland and abroad. During the
last decades many Armenian performers of classical music have left
Armenia to win the hearts of music lovers all over the world. Of
course, we Armenians are proud that our compatriots win high
international stages. At the same time, we have to know that finding
and nurturing talents necessitates constant interaction between
different generations of classical musicians",-said VivaCell-MTS
General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
The concert program, which is dedicated to the founder of the National
Chamber Orchestra of Armenia - the renowned musician Zareh Sahakyants'
80th anniversary, was presented by talented musicians David Harutyunyan
(violin, France), Tomoko Akasaka (viola, Japan), Michael Hakhnazaryan
(cello, Germany), Mary Movsisyan (soprano) and the National Chamber
Orchestra of Armenia - artistic director and principal conductor
Vahan Martirosyan.
The program included pieces by Z. Sahakyants, Mozart, Vitali, Ravel,
Bloch, Atterberg.
