ARMENIA IS INTERESTED IN STRENGTHENING RELATIONS WITH CHILE - PRESIDENT
YEREVAN, November 1. / ARKA /. Armenia is interested in strengthening
relations with Chile, president Serzh Sargsyan said as he received
Chilean ambassador Eduardo Eguiguren's (residence in Moscow)
credentials, the presidential press service reported.
The president stressed that Armenia has established good relations
and cooperation with a number of Latin American nations.
Congratulating the ambassador on his appointment to this position,
president Sargsyan expressed hope that the ambassador will be able to
contribute to the strengthening of bilateral ties, especially given
the fact that Armenia and Chile have no political problems.
The two men were said to have stressed the importance of developing a
legal framework for the stepping up cooperation in various fields. The
ambassador said some work to this end is under way already. -0-
