OPENING OF JAPAN'S EMBASSY IN YEREVAN NOT SOLVED YET

YEREVAN. - The issue of opening of Japan's embassy in Yerevan has
not been solved yet, coordinator of the embassy Arihiko Hasegawa said.
"Japan's Foreign Ministry has submitted an application on opening
embassies in six counties, including Armenia. It is still unclear
whether the government will approve the decision," he said during
the Friday press conference.
Presently the embassy in Russia is functioning with concurrent
accreditation to Armenia with a residence in Moscow.
Japan plans to open embassies in Armenia, Bhutan, the Marshal Islands,
Namibia, Turkmenistan, and Barbados.
