PEOPLE SURE TO REBEL - TIGRAN KARAPETYAN

Chairman of People's Party Tigran Karapetyan hails leader of the
Tseghakron (Race religion) party Shant Harutyunyan's attempt to carry
out a revolution.
A revolution is only possible if the people unite.
"People were forced into that step. More and more similar actions
should be expected in the course of time. In any case, I welcome such
a movement," Karapetyan told Tert.am.
He intends to get actively involved in political processes if people
rise.
"Let people rise. The freedom-fighters' rally yesterday should have
been attended by 200,000, but only 200 or 300 were present. All this
is being done for words to become deeds. Radical steps must be taken
to remedy the injustice," he said.
"Hungry people are in a desperate situation and they will certain rise
in rebellion. The authorities must understand [Armenia] is a democratic
country. They cannot arrest all the people," Karapetyan said.
