Aza Migranyan, the head of the laboratory of Inter-regional
Development Problems under the Institute of the Market Problems of the
Russian Academy of Sciences, discussed with Vestnik Kavkaza the
prospects of Armenia's European and Eurasian integration.
According to the expert, the country shouldn't cancel one of its
integration projects in order to enhance efforts to implement the
other one. In such circumstances, Armenia should define its priorities
in both projects.
"In its integration into the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and
Kazakhstan, Armenia focuses on economic and military cooperation,
while in its collaboration with the European Union, Armenia pays
special attention to the humanitarian sphere, cultural and democratic
development, since the country is committed to European values," she
says.
