YEREVAN. - The Cabinet of Armeniaheld a regular session, Chorrord
Inknishkhanutyun (CI) daily reports.
`Following the session CI asked this question to MES [i.e., Minister
of Emergency Situations] Armen Yeritsyan: `Rumors were circulating in
the press that your employees are asking for money from the Armenian
citizens and the legal entities that do not observe the safety rules.
Do you know about this?'
Yeritsyan denied the news and said: `We already have given
information; the inspectorates are doing their job. Our employees fine
those facilities that do not perform their tasks.'
`To CI's remark that the matter refers to taking bribes, Yeritsyan
said in anger: `So, the person who makes such a statement is a
criminal. He is obligated to apply the law enforcement without letting
me know,'' Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun quotes.
