Spartak Moscow closed the gap behind leaders Zenit St. Petersburg
to three points thanks to a Yura Movsisyan hat-trick in a 4-2 win in
the capital.
Zenit was ahead after six minutes through Alexander Kerzhakov but
Movsisyan then took over.
The Armenia striker fired the host ahead with goals on 22 and 44
minutes before completing his hat-trick three minutes after half-time.
Movsisyan left the pitch on 58 minutes and while Zenit quickly scored
in his absence, Hulk finding the net, Spartak sealed the win through
Dennis Glushakov.
Seydou Doumbia struck twice as CSKA Moscow moved up to fourth place
with a 4-1 win over Terek Grozny.
Doumbia got off the mark after nine minutes and the CSKA goals came
in a rush after that.
Zoran Tosic and Sergei Ignashevich were both on target before Doumbia
scored his second with a 38th-minute penalty.
Ailton grabbed a consolation goal for the away side on 71 minutes.
Kuban Krasnodar also struck four goals as it swatted aside Volga
Nizhny Novgorod without reply.
Balde Ibra (12), Ivelin Popov (26) and Vladislav Ignatiev (40) had
the game wrapped up by half-time. Ibra added a fourth on 64 minutes.
Anzhi Makhachkala, third last season, remains the only club without a
win this term as it fell 1-0 at Amkar Perm. Dmitri Belorukov grabbed
the winner seven minutes from the end.
Wanderson scored a 75th-minute winner for Krasnodar at Rubin Kazan,
the match ending 1-0.
