ARMENIAN PRESIDENT OBSERVES MILITARY EXERCISES IN KARABAKH

Armenian President Serzh Sargsian attended Karabakh Defense Army
exercises during his working visit to the unrecognized republic.
A source in the Karabakh presidential press service told Interfax that
Sargsian and Karabakh leader Bako Sahakian attended a conference of
Karabakh Defense Army commanders dedicated to the results of the
exercises in Stepanakert, the Karabakh capital city, on Tuesday
evening.
"Sahakian stressed the importance of the constant improvement of the
combat readiness of the Defense Army as one of the most efficient
elements contributing to Karabakh security and regional peace and
stability," the press service said.
The Armenian and Karabakh defense ministers were also present at
the conference.
