Armenia's Ministry of Justice and other relevant agencies have received
the package of documents necessary for Armenia to bring its legislation
to conformity with the status of member of the Customs Union.
At his meeting with journalists on Tuesday, Vardan Aivazyan, Chairman
of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, Parliament of Armenia,
spoke of the benefits of Armenia joining the Customs Union.
"Armenia is supposed to establish trade ties with the member-states,
after the examples of Belarus and Kazakhstan," Aivazyan said.
However, he strongly doubts Armenia will be able to prepare for
Customs Union membership during next year.
