GERMAN AMBASSADOR: THE DONOR CONFERENCE ON ARMENIA PUT OFF FOLLOWING THE COUNTRY'S DECISION TO JOIN THE CUSTOMS UNION

The donor conference on Armenia has been put off following the
country's decision to join the Customs Union, Ambassador of Germany
to Armenia Reiner Morell told journalists on Thursday.
He said that the conference was supposed to be part of the signing
of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area agreement.
Morell explained that it was in the same package with the Association
and DCFTA agreements - a link of the same chain - so, now that things
have changed and Armenia has decided to join the Customs Union,
this component will also be revised.
The conference was supposed to raise funds for Armenia. The European
Union was planning to provide the country with some 1.5bln EUR.-0-
