YEREVAN HOPEFUL OF EU ASSISTANCE IN DEMOCRACY, ANTI-CORRUPTION FIGHT - MINISTER

Armenia is set to develop cooperation with the European Union and
hopeful of support to its reforms, Armenian Foreign Minister Eduard
Nalbandian said.
"We would like to bolster cooperation with the EU in every field with
due account of the achievements and progress made over the past few
years," Nalbandian told EU High Representative for Foreign Relations
and Security Policy Catherine Ashton in Brussels.
"Armenia is determined to carry on the reforms for the sake of
democracy, human rights, rule of law, efficient management, improved
judiciary and the fight against corruption. We are expecting the EU
to render long-term support," the minister said.
Ashton said that the European Union was also willing to cooperate with
Yerevan, the Armenian Foreign Ministry press service told Interfax.
