MP: SECURITY IS A PRIORITY ISSUE FOR ARMENIA

Armenia must be ready for any kind of challenge and any drills
and exercises are important in this respect, especially when they
involve all state bodies, MP, member of Yerkrapah Volunteer Union
Karen Saribekyan told Panorama.am commenting on the strategic command
and staff exercise being held in Armenia.
'Echo 2013' strategic command and staff exercise with state and
military government bodies is being held in Armenia. The topic of the
exercise is 'Work of Senior State Officials in Military and Political
Decision-Making.'
Saribekyan stressed that the Armenian President prioritizes security
of the country and it is not accidental that he constantly comes up
with initiatives aimed at raising the level of country's security
and defense capabilities.
"First of all, we must rely on ourselves and be able to resist the
rival's threats with our own forces if necessary," he said.
