"CLOSED MARKET" SUPERMARKET OPENS, ACTIVISTS PLAN TO CONTINUE PROTESTS

YEREVAN. - The supermarket functioning in the Closed Market in Armenian
capital opened on Wednesday morning, whereas the part of the market
where fruits and vegetables are sold opened two days ago.
Although no sign had been placed on the facade, the baskets inside
the supermarket have inscriptions "Closed Market."
After the protests actions on saving the cultural heritage failed,
the activists demanded citizens to boycott the supermarket belonging
to the family of MP Samvel Aleksanyan. However, the flow of customers
has been seen since morning.
Starting from Wednesday, members of "Let's liberate monument from an
oligarch" initiative will resume protects actions. They will gather
at 3pm in Mashtots Park and will march to the market every day.
