HRAPARAK: PASSIONS RUN HIGH IN ARFD

'Hraparak' says that passions are running high in the Yerevan committee
of the ARF-Dashnaktsutyun Party. The ARFD plans to hold a meeting
until late October to discuss changes of the party executives.
The fact is that the Yerevan committee of ARFD is considered the most
opposition one and, as one of the party members put it, 'the worst
affected by the policy implemented by Hrant Margarian'. According to
the paper, discontent was caused by the elections of the committee,
to which people close to Hrant, mainly Iranian-born Armenians, are
usually elected.
