HRAPARAK: VAHAN HOVHANNISYAN'S APPOINTMENT AS ARMENIA'S AMBASSADOR LONG PROCESS

The Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) states
that the process of appointing Vahan Hovhannisyan Armenia's Ambassador
to Germany is long.
The issue of his predecessor is on the agenda. Aramais Grigoryan,
who is laying a claim to the mandate, will, nonetheless, be appointed
governor.
Mikael Manukyan is next on the list. He is likely to yield his seat
to Karen Shahmuradyan, who invested greatly in the ARF-D's election
campaign and is unlikely to refuse.
His refusal is desirable not because the ARF-D is supporting "gender
initiatives," but because Ruzan Arakelyan is next on the list,
followed by Ara Nranyan.
Some think everything possible must be done for Nranyan to get into
parliament, which is, however, unlikely.
