DAVID HAROUTIUNYAN: ALONG WITH PALESTINE AND NORTHERN CYPRUS THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE SHOULD WORK ALSO WITH NAGORNO KARABAKH

Representatives of Nagorno Karabakh should be involved in the work of
the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. This issue was
raised at the latest session of PACE, Head of the Armenian Development
to PACE David Haroutiunyan told media, Thursday.
"After all, Europe is not just a geographic union. When we speak
of frozen conflicts, we must take into account that those conflict
zones have population and those territories are also integral part
of Europe. Consequently, those people should be involved in the work
of PACE. I mean Nagorno Karabakh, first of all," Haroutiunyan said.
According to him, the Armenian delegation's demand to involve the
NKR representatives in the work of the Assembly is based on the CoE's
experience of such work with Palestine and Northern Cyprus.
