3 CANDIDATES TO RUN FOR WRITERS' UNION OF ARMENIA CHAIRMANSHIP

YEREVAN. - Three candidates will run for the position of the Chairman
of the Writers' Union of Armenia (WUA).
Secretary Petros Demirchyan of the WUA Board, who is also member of
the commission that registers the candidates, told the aforesaid to
Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He added that Wednesday was the deadline for the registration of
candidates.
Several writers have nominated the candidacy of Acting WUA Chairman
Edvard Militonyan, whereas writers Hovik Hoveyan and Davit Sargsyan
have nominated themselves.
To note, the WUA special congress will be convened on Sunday, and
there is solely one matter on the congress agenda: the election of
the new Chairman of the Writers' Union of Armenia.
