ARMENIAN OMBUDSMAN URGES POLICE TO DEFEND CIVIL ACTIVISTS MORE EFFECTIVELY

Armenian Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan received civil activist
and public figure Karo Yeghnukyan on Wednesday.
According to the press service of the Human Rights Defender, Yeghnukyan
expressed his concern with his own security, because he participates
in the campaign "Let's Save the Monument from the Oligarch". He said
that he is being spied on and intimidated.
Yeghnukyan recalled that on October 15 unknown persons ripped the
tyres of his car. He has already applied to the police.
Karen Andreasyan urges Chief of the Armenian Police Vladimir Gasparyan
to defend the civil activists more effectively.
