"SHARAKAN KHAZAGREAL" BILINGUAL ARMENIAN AND ENGLISH MUSIC CD-NOTEBOOK TO INTRODUCE TO SOCIETY

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Composer, Komitas expert Artur
Shahnazaryan has created "Sharakan khazagreal" bilingual Armenian and
English music CD-notebook, the presentation of which will take place at
"Naregatsi" Art Union on October 22 . As Armenpress was informed from
the union, after 2-century pause Armenian notch hymn is heard for the
first time in the original accuracy by the unrivaled performance of
the National Chamber Choir of Armenia.
The choir's artistic director and conductor Robert Mlqeyan. The
translation of the text of the bilingual booklet is carried out by
American- Armenian musician Vache Parsumean who is also a well-known
Komitas expert and the translator of the English collection of music
works by Komitas, which was published in the USA 2001.
The publication under presentation is a crucial contribution to the
history of Armenian notchology and composition, as it is the first
scientific study after the long interval where the notchogaphy system
of 17-18 centuries already considered as unreadable of Armenian
medieval spiritual music is put under study.
