SECURITY MEASURES BEING TAKEN ON BERD-IJEVAN ROAD - DEFENSE MINISTRY

The situation is relatively calm on Armenia-Azerbaijan border, in
Tavush area, the Armenian forces keep the situation under control,
Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan told
Panorama.am.
The spokesman noted that following the latest Azeri shooting,
Berd-Ijevan road was closed and measures are being taken to ensure
its security.
On October 22, Azeri forces opened fire on cars driving by Berd-Ijevan
road, in Paravakar section, in Armenia's Tavush province. Armenian
soldier Garik Poghosyan was killed. Three other soldiers were wounded.
"There is no tension now," Hovhannisyan added.
