ARMENIAN GENOCIDE DENIAL EFFORTS OF TURKEY ARE NOT CONVINCING: HISTORIAN

    16:13, 29 October, 2013

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 29, ARMENPRESS: The Turkish historian Cemal Karpat
stated that the attempts of the Turkish to deny the Armenian Genocide
are not convincing in the world. Armenpress reports that Karpat
announced about it during the talk with the correspondent of the
    Turkish information website Haber7.

The correspondent and the historian touched upon the Armenian Genocide
of 1915-23, which they presented as "resettlement" of Armenians.

The Turkish historian told a story from his life: "There is a new
tendency in the Armenian case. Whatever we say, we cannot seem
convincing. Several years ago I had a dinner with the correspondent
of the New York Times Stephen Kinzer, during which we touched upon
the Armenian case. I asked him about the information on the number
of Armenians in the British documents.

While I voiced my question, Kinzer was sneering. Thus he made me
understand that whatever I say or do, it is already senseless".
