Victory of Symphony of Stones serious claim on international market

Mekhak Apresyan, Head of the Tourism Department, Ministry of Economy
of Armenia, believes that Armenia's victory the UNWTO 2013 Vettor
Giusti tourism poster competition is a serious victory in presenting
Armenia in the international market.
We would remind our readers that Armenia was recognized the winner of
the Europe nomination at the UNWTO 2013 Vettor Giusti tourism poster
competition.
`This is an impetus to our tourism development and a special way of
advertising our country,' Apresyan told Tert.am.
The information on Armenia's victory will be posted on the UNWTO
official website to remain there for two years, until the next UNWTO
session.
`Moreover, the news was officially announced today during the
20thGeneral Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization,
that is, in the presence of all the representatives of the
member-states, numerous representatives of the world tourist
industry,' Apresyan said.
With respect to the competition itself, he said: `Online voting took
place and Armenia's Symphony of Stones poster was named the best.
As regards the preservation of the Symphony of Stones, Apresyan noted
that the problem has been resolved, and the natural monument is
protected by the law.
