KARABAKH CONFLICT SOLUTION CAN ONLY BE POLITICAL: NATO

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. The NATO would like to see the
swift resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. As reports
"Armenpress" the NATO Secretary General's Special Representative
for the Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai stated this in a
conversation with the Azerbaijani media.
Among other things the NATO Secretary General's Special Representative
for the Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai underscored;
"A solution to the conflict is urgent, but such a solution can only
be political. NATO fully supports the efforts of the Minsk Group."
Talking about the NATO's possible role in solution of NagornoKarabakh
conflict, Appathurai emphasized that at this stage, where the sides
have not yet come to a full agreement on the basic principles
of a settlement, it is too early to speculate on the role of an
organization.
