Armenian Ambassador to Switzerland and Armenia's Permanent
Representative in the UN Geneva Office, National Hero of Armenia
Charles Aznavour met with representatives of the Armenian community
of Almaty at the "Luys" CulturalCenter.
Aznavour was a guest of honor at the Eurasian Music Award and the
Eurasian International Film Festival.
The meeting was organized by the Armenian Embassy in Kazakhstan.
Armenia's newly appointed Ambassador Ara Sahakyan, Primate of the St.
Karapet Armenian Church of Almaty, Rev. Sargsyan, President of the
"Nairi" Union of Armenians of Kazakhstan Artush Karapetyan and others
spoke at the meeting.
Charles Aznavour showed interest in the history of Kazakh Armenians
and issues of preserving the national identity.
Aznavour presented the steps he takes to contribute to the settlement
of the Nagorno Karabakh issue and the social-economic development
of Armenia.
