Despite the major U-turn that saw Armenia sharply change its political
vector in the direction of Russia, the two countries' leaders remain
somewhat aloof.
At the opening of the Armenian cathedral in Moscow, President Serzh
Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin never met; neither did the Russian leader
visit Armenia, says the paper.
"It turns out that they didn't meet at the Collective Security Treaty
Organization's Council's session in Sochi either. It was officially
confirmed yesterday that Putin had private talks with Kyrgyzstan's
Preisdent Almazbek Atambayev and Belarus President Alexander
Lukashenko. But no meeting took place with Serzh Sargsyan. So we
wonder why Putin avoids the Armenian leader," writes the paper.
