Resolution calling on US President to encourage Turkey's
acknowledgement of "armenian genocide" introduced to Senate

Baku. Anakhanum Hidayatova -APA. U.S. Senate Foreign Relations
Committee Chairman Robert Menendez and Senator Mark Kirk have
introduced a resolution calling on the US President Barack Obama to
encourage a Turkish-Armenian relationship based on Turkey's
acknowledgement of the "Armenian Genocide", APA reports quoting
Today's Zaman.
APA reports that the draft resolution has been introduced both to the
U.S. Senate and House of Representative. The co-authors of the
document are Senators Barbara Boxer and Ed Markey.
The Senators said that United States should finally join the European
Union and 11 of our NATO allies in officially recognizing the Armenian
Genocide.
