ARMENIAN-ITALIAN COOPERATION SATISFIES SIDES IN CULTURAL HERITAGE PRESERVATION

YEREVAN, APRIL 11, ARMENPRESS. The restoration of the frescos,
conduction of archaeological studies, cleaning of monuments,
elimination of coating are only part of the work activities which were
held between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia and
the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Italy in the area of cultural
heritage preservation and restoration. The third session of "The
Armenian-Italian educational program in the area of the cultural
heritage preservation and restoration of support to the local
institutions" was held on April 11. At the course of it not only was
the fulfilled work summarized, but new actions of bilateral
cooperation were implemented.
The Deputy Minister of Culture Arev Samuelyan told Armenpress that the
cooperation between the two institutions launched on April 6, 2011
when the technical agreement "Support to the Armenian Institution for
local cultural heritage preservation and
strengthening" had been signed.
"This was truly one of the most serious training programs of the
Ministry of Culture," Samuelyan stated. He underscored that the
Government of Italy displayed both professional and financial support
in the realization of this program.
