YEREVAN. - Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is not discussing the issue
of joining coalition in the government, PAP MP Tigran Urikhanyan said
in a statement.
He informed about yesterday's meeting of Serzh Sargsyan with Gagik
Tsarukyan during which the latter "voiced the same problems and views
that were declared during the previous meetings".
"PAP is not discussing becoming a part of coalition government. It's
not on our agenda," he said.
Besides, PAP reiterated its position on opposing constitutional reform
saying there is need for economic changes.
"Finally, Gagik Tsarukyan voiced the problems of public concern that
require immediate solution, among them mandatory pension plan, the
problems of surveillance cameras and parking, the problem of reducing
fines, loan interest rates - that is the problems that have led to
social tension," the statement reads.
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan handed over resignation on April 3.
Hovik Abrahamyan was nominated as new prime minister on Sunday
following the meetings in the office of ruling Republican Party of
