ARTHUR BAGHDASARYAN RESIGNS AS SECRETARY OF NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL

YEREVAN. - Arthur Baghdasaryan announced his resignation from the
post of a secretary of National Security Council.
"Taking into account the decision by political council of Orinats
Yerkir party, I resign as a secretary of National Security Council,"
he said during a press conference on Friday.
Baghdasaryan, leader of Orinats Yerkir party, said over last six years
the Council was established as a structure capable of representing
Armenia outside the country, and thanked the staff for fruitful work.
He noted that Orinats Yerkir is the most active and competitive
faction in the parliament, adding that party's deputies are authors
of 200 laws.
