Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, who travelled recently to Brussels
to participate in World War I centenary commemoration events, has
addressed the past days' increased border tension between Azerbaijan
and Armenia, according his spokesperson.
"President Serzh Sargsyan's talks with different countries' leaders
on the sidelines of the World War I centenary commemoration events
were not limited to protocol meetings.
"Apart from an exchange of ideas over bilateral relations, those
dialogues particularly highlighted the priority of restoring peace in
our region. The Armenian president dwelled on the Azerbaijani-provoked
border encroachments on peace, as well as their consequences," Arman
Saghatelyan told Tert.am.
The spokesperson added that the non-official meetings with French
President Francois Hollande, in particular, focused on the need of
continuing the negotiation process over the Nagorno-Karabakh.
