    ANKARA - 06.08.2014 14:34:37

Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) deputy HurÅ~_it GuneÅ~_
appealed to Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to file a criminal
complaint Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan who sparked an outrage
by saying he was "even worse, called an Armenian".

Speaking during a TV program on Tuesday evening, Erdogan said:
"I was called a Georgian. I apologize for this, but they even said
[something] worse: They called me an Armenian," Erdogan said, adding,
    "But I'm a Turk."

After the application GuneÅ~_ spoke to the reporters saying that
there are various minorities in Turkey. "There are Armenian people
in Turkey. These are our people. Being an Armenian is not a mean
situation. It is an equal situation. We have lived with Armenians
friendly throughout the history," said GuneÅ~_.

He also reminded that Erdogan uttered insulting remarks on Greek
    people in 2011.
