MOSCOW, August 13 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian international military
exhibition and trade show Oboronexpo 2014 will go ahead as planned and
will be welcoming foreign participants despite the sanctions imposed
against Russia by the West, Rostec deputy CEO Dmitriy Shugaev told
    RIA Novosti.

"Surely, the sanctions have had a certain impact but the general
program of the expo and forum has not had any significant changes,"
    Shugaev said.

He noted that 250 Russian companies would be participating in
Oboronexpo 2014. In addition to them, 11 firms and enterprises from
Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Germany, India, China, the United States,
France, the Czech Republic and Switzerland will also take part in
    the exhibition.

According to Shugaev, Oboronexpo 2014 will include two main events,
The Third International Forum "Engineering Technologies 2014" and The
Second International Expo "Oboronexpo 2014." Russian state industrial
corporation Rostec is one of the organizers of the expo.

"The expo is to see the latest innovations in missile and artillery
weaponry, armored and tactical vehicles, communications equipment,
unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), radio and electronic technologies
and civil engineering," Rostec's deputy chief said.

The equipment and hardware showcased at the exhibition can also be
seen in action at the range located at the exhibition site.

Oboronexpo 2014 is taking place from August 13 to 17 in Zhukovsky,
Moscow Region. The trade show will see major industry companies
in attendance and will provide an opportunity for discussions and
    cooperation among industry players.
