Armenia and Georgia discuss energy cooperation

    22 August 2014 - 11:35am

Armenian and Georgian Energy Ministers Yervand Zakharyan and Kakha
Kaladze have met in Yerevan. Zakharyan noted that increase of power
transit from 200 to 700MW was one of the most important goals of
energy programs. The new 400-KW power line is capable of achieving the
    goal, Armenia Today reports.

Zakharyan discussed readiness of Georgia to assist Armenia in
accidents around the transit gas pipeline and Armenia's compensation
of power cuts in Georgia. Kaladze thanked Armenia for cooperation and
pointed out good potential for their further development.
