NANJING, China--Boxer Narek Manasyan, representing Armenia, has become
a bronze medalist at the 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games held in
Nanjing, China. The Armenian boxer defeated Viddal Riley representing
the United Kingdom by a score of 2 to 1 in the Men's Light Heavy (81kg
/ 178 lb) Bronze Medal Bout. Earlier, Narek Manasyan celebrated
another victory over a Turkish athlete.
According to Armenpress, Anush Grigoryan, who is Armenia's sole female
world boxing champion, was left without a medal at the Youth Olympics,
losing to Turkey's Neriman Istik.
