Russia's gold reserves enable it to withstand the sanctions and the
Russian economy will feel the negative impact of the sanctions if the
oil prices fall below $60 per barrel, economist Ashot Tarverdyan told
reporters on Saturday.
In his words, Armenia would be affected by the sanctions against
Russia even if it did not join the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) since
the two countries' economies are interrelated.
The economist added that the worsening of the economic situation in
Russia will also have an impact on the amount of remittances sent from
Russia to Armenia.
