US DEEPLY CONCERNED OVER AZERBAIJAN'S HUMAN RIGHTS RECORD - PSAKI

The spokesperson of the US Department of State has expressed deep
concerns over the Azerbaijani authorities' continuing pressures
against civil society representatives.
"We are increasingly concerned that the Government of Azerbaijan
is not living up to its international human rights commitments and
obligations. We urge the government to respect the universal rights of
its citizens and allow them to freely express their views. They will be
best able to ensure their future stability and prosperity by allowing a
more open society. We've certainly expressed this to officials there. I
can check and see if there's anything in the last couple of days on
this front," Jen Psaki cited at the daily press briefing on Monday.
