HERITAGE MEMBER: ARMENIA'S EEU ACCESSION IS ABSOLUTELY POLITICAL MATTER

The accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) is not an economic
integration process, but absolutely a political matter, Heritage
parliamentary faction head Ruben Hakobyan stated during a debate on
Armenia's entry into the EEU in the parliament.
In his words, some time after Armenia's accession to the EEU,
Kazakhstan will raise the issue of setting up a customs border between
Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
The politician expressed confidence that one-third of the MPs present
at the session are against the ratification of the EEU accession
treaty and urged the MPs to vote by conscience.
