FIVE ARMENIAN INVESTMENT PROJECTS RECKONED BEST FOR STEP GRANTS
YEREVAN, December 8. /ARKA/. Five Armenian startup investment projects,
SoloLearn, Forkize, MAquaponics, atDent and Cloud Data Security,
have been recognized the best and will receive financial support
from the "From Idea To Market Competition" initiative of the Science
and Technology Entrepreneurship Program (STEP), press office of the
Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) reported.
The first prize winner, SoloLearn, Forkize and MAquaponics, received
$7,500 and 2.8 million drams. Two next winners, atDent and Cloud Data
Security teams, will get 2.8 million drams each, says the report.
The eighth venture conference on accelerated innovations in science
and technology was held in Yerevan on December 4 as part of the STEP
program. Fifteen investment projects on IT, architecture, agriculture
and biotechnology developed by Armenian researchers and startups were
presented at the conference.
The venture conference was initiated by Armenia's ministry of economy,
the US Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) and the EIF.
The STEP program has been implemented by the EIF together with CRDF
Global and the ministry of economy since 2006 to reveal efficient
ideas, teams and projects of interest to investors.
SoloLearn founded in June 2013 is a mobile learning platform offering
14 programming, business and photography interactive and gaming
applications.
MAquaponics offers effective and safe chemical pesticides to improve
environmental situation and food security.
Forkize is all-in-one Mobile Experience Management platform for games
and app publishers.
Cloud Data Security provides cloud encryption gateway solution.
atDent is a dentist network program to plan, follow up and monitor
treatment and analyze the data, and etc. -0--
