BUSINESS PEOPLE FROM RUSSIAN SARATOV WANT TO DEVELOP RELATIONS WITH ARMENIAN PEERS
YEREVAN, December 9. / ARKA /. Entrepreneurs in the Russian region of
Saratov are interested in developing trade relations with Armenia,
according to Alexander Grechikho, the Saratov provincial minister
for economic development and investment policy, who has brought a
delegation of Russian business people to Armenia.
Speaking to Armenian journalists today he said Saratov is a region
with developed agriculture, industry, defense and pharmaceutical
enterprises.
"We are ready work with Armenia and to consider not only exporting our
products to Armenia, but also importing some of Armenia-made products,'
he said.
According to him, Saratov-based companies are already buying Armenian
stone to produce decor articles at home and would like to buy Armenian
concentrates and purees for juice production.
The commerce and trade chambers of Yerevan and Saratov signed a
cooperation agreement in December 2013 during a visit to Armenia by
Russian president Vladimir Putin.
The delegation of businessmen from the Saratov region is in Armenia on
a four-day visit. Here they are having meetings with representatives of
different local government agencies to discuss expansion of bilateral
