ARMENIAN BUSINESSMAN AYRAPETYAN DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER

Armenian businessman Levon Ayrapetyan has not arrived at the Basmanny
Court of Moscow. He is currently in a hospital with bladder cancer.
The businessman's lawyer filed an objection to the Basmanny Court of
Artur Karpov for ignoring his client's health condition, TASS reports.
Levon Ayrapetyan, 65, is accused of wasting and laundering money from
sales of Bashneft shares. He was detained at the Domodedovo Airport
on July 15 after arriving from Nice. He is charged with acquisition
and waste of property that did not belong to him and money-laundering.
Bashneft ex-Head Ural Rakhimov allegedly created a criminal clan with
Ayrapetyan to steal the company's shares.
