ARMEN RUSTAMYAN: DASHNAKTSUTYUN WILL NOT FORM COALITION GOVERNMENT WITH RULING REPUBLICAN PARTY
14:15 | December 17,2014 | Politics
Head of the Dashnaktsutyun faction Armen Rustamyan today dismissed
the reports that his teammate, former MP Ara Nranyan will soon be
appointed Deputy Minister of International Economic Integration and
Reforms. He also brushed off reports that Dahsnaktsutyun is going to
form a coalition government with the Republicans.
"Every time a Dashnaktsutyun Party member is offered a position, our
party is immediately suspected of some deal with the authorities. Why
cannot we have any relationship with the authorities? The problem
is that we have begun to identify the state with the government. In
that case, you had better make a list of all employed oppositionists
and demand that they quit their jobs," said Mr Rustamyan.
Dashnaktsutyun has joined the signature of collections initiated by
the opposition trio and the Country of Law Party (OEK) who demand
convening an extraordinary sitting of the Armenian parliament to
discuss the currency fluctuations and the ensuing increase in prices.
