BEELINE TO COMPLETE LANDLINES DIGITIZATION IN THREE ARMENIAN PROVINCES BY THE END OF THE YEAR
YEREVAN, December 19. /ARKA/. ArmenTel company (trading as Beeline)
will complete digitization of landline communication networks in Lori,
Aragatsotn and Armavir provinces of Armenia, the company's press
office reported. The report says works are under way to digitize
private automatic branch exchanges and subscriber connections in
Metsavan, Kuchak and Norashen communities. Measures are launched to
improve infrastructures, according to the report. Upon completion
of the works, residents of Metsavan and Norashen will have access to
high-quality landline networks and improved broadband Internet. Kuchak
residents will get access to broadband Internet, according to the
report. Beeline remains committed to its strategy of even development
in Armenia's regions, and has substantially increased coverage of its
digital landline networks during 2014. Digitization will continue
in 2015, general director of ArmenTel Andrey Pyatakhin said. The
current landline digitization rate in Armenia is 87%. ArmenTel is
a 100 percent subsidiary of Russian VimpelCom providing fixed and
