ARMENIANS PROTESTING AGAINST PRICE SURGE - PHOTOS/VIDEO

The marked surge observed in the wake of the past days' decline in
the Armenian currency's exchange rate against US Dollar attracted a
crowd of Armenians to a street protest on Friday.
Gathered in front of the Government, the crowd made calls for
stabilizing the prices.
They also urged for decreasing the prices in gas filling station as
a first step towards liberalizing the market.
"A failure to meet the demands will lead to a social boom whose
consequences will be unpredictable for the regime," the organizers
stated.
The demonstration had attracted civic activists and public figures.
