Yerevan Brandy Factory's treasury opens doors for visitors for first time
YEREVAN, December 20. /ARKA/. Yerevan Brandy Factory's treasury
"Paradise" is open for visitors for the first time as part of the Open
Door Days organized by the Yerevan Brandy Company ahead of New Year
holidays, on December 20 and 21. Brandy produced by the factory in
different years starting from 1902 is kept in the treasury.
There are also other spirits the factory received from alcohol
producers from other countries as gifts, for example Riga Balsam.
The visitors will see the Barrel of Peace set up in 1994 in the
presence of OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.
The barrel will be uncorked after settlement of Karabakh conflict.
The hall of presidents' barrels attracts special interest, since it
contains personal barrels set up in honor of our and foreign
countries' presidents who have visited the factory.
Wide-scale video installation presents the entire process of brandy
production. Visitors can take a breath of air saturated with brandy
scent here.
They may see two barrels set up in 1902. Brandy of this very year won
a prestigious bronze medal at a contest in France.
The factory's museum will host visitors as well. Christina Ishkhanyan,
ArArAt brand ambassador, said this event is traditional, and every
year something new is shown to visitors.

>From 10:00 to 17:00 buses will run every hour carrying people from the
Republic Square to the brandy factory for free.
Yerevan Brandy Company is the exclusive producer of ARARAT Brandies is
the direct successor of Armenian brandy-making traditions, established
in 1887.
Yerevan Brandy Company is the biggest taxpayer of the field and the
biggest grape buyer. In 1999 Yerevan Brandy Company joined the Pernod
Ricard Group, the world co-leader of the Wine & Spirits industry,
which unites such brands as Chivas, Absolut, Martell, Jameson and
