Survival Skills Fourth Workshop
By Los Angeles County Department of Public Health
On Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at 10 am Dr. Frank Alvarez a Health
Officer with the County of Los Angeles, will present a free workshop
on Public Health in English and Armenian at the Glendale Central
Library Auditorium.
Dr. Frank Alvarez is the Area Health Officer representing, the
Antelope Valley and Santa Clarita & San Fernando Valley. Previously,
he was the Director of the Los Angeles County Tuberculosis Control
Program. He has also worked with other Public Health programs and task
forces for the California State Health Department. He is currently
board certified in General Preventive Medicine and Public Health.
Public Health workshop is the fourth in the series of Survival Skills
workshops planned by the Glendale Library, Arts & Culture
Department. The purpose of this workshop is to provide information on
the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health in general and to
provide information on the flu and updates on Ebola in particular.
We ask our community members and in particular community advocates to
make every effort to attend this very important workshop.
