Beeline and Technology Development Center announced the launch of
the App Armenia system - a platform for mobile applications and
projects aimed at developing the Armenian-language mobile content,
the company's press service told ArmInfo.
App Armenia consists of two key parts: Web and Mobile. Web is the
www.app.am website, which enables the users to register and to present
their own posters and sound files on the created page. The second part
- the mobile application - enables the users to use the whole content
of www.app.am from their smartphones. App Armenia is available for
the Android and iOS-based telephones. It can also be downloaded at
Play Store and App Store.
Under the project, one of the key directions was the presentation
and development of Armenian-language mobile projects and enhancement
of public awareness of the new local developments. The www.app.am
website publishes the news and materials about mobile applications. In
addition, any Armenian-language mobile application can be registered
in the system and can get an opportunity to provide information, and
the application users will be able to share their posters, wallpapers,
voice and other files with other participants.
"Beeline, as a leading telecommunication operator, is implementing
numerous programs aimed at developing Armenian-language mobile
applications and content. This year we have launched a few mobile
apps in Armenia, which are adjusted to the local market and public
interests. I am sure our project will not only make life better
but will also significantly boost development of the market of
Armenian-language apps and will enhance the youth's involvement in
the field, which has a big potential", said Andrey Pyatakhin, CEO of
Beeline Armenia.
"The launch of this system is one more serious step towards development
of Armenian-language mobile apps. Today everyone has numerous useful
mobile apps in a smartphone. We will do everything possible to
make App Armenia an efficient and much-in-demand tool for the users
and content creators", said Samvel Chakhalyan, Head of Technology
Development Center.
To note, ArmenTel CJSC (Beeline brand) is a member of VimpelCom Group.
VimpelCom is one of the world's largest integrated telecommunications
services operators providing voice and data services through a range
of traditional and broadband mobile and fixed technologies in Russia,
