CSTO WORKS ON EQUAL PARTNERSHIP AND TRUST PRINCIPLES, PUTIN SAYS
December 23, 2014 14:48
Yerevan /Mediamax/. A humanitarian center of the Collective Security
Treaty Organization (CSTO) will be established in Armenia in 2015.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin stated it addressing a speech at
the meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council in Moscow today.
"Our summit is held during this challenging period. The situation is
dynamically changing worldwide. The old issues exacerbate and new ones
emerge. Unfortunately, a deformation of the global security system is
taking place. All this requires CSTO member states to take concerted
and collective measures to ensure the security of our countries, and
the region, on the whole. CSTO possesses real capacities to resolve
these issues. Over many years, the organization has recommended itself
as a trustworthy and effective regional structure. The organization
has rich practice in working on the principles of equal partnership,
transparency and mutual respect and trust", said President Putin.
Vladimir Putin noted that "the establishment of common emergency
response mechanisms is underway".
"A network of CSTO humanitarian centers is being established with the
active support of Russia. The first will open in Armenia next year,
and a similar center will be later opened in Kyrgyzstan", said the
Russian President.
