ARMENIA AND GEORGIA SIGN BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT
YEREVAN, December 24. / ARKA /. Armenian Prime Minister Hovik
Abrahmayan attended today a ceremony for signing an Armenian-Georgian
agreement for construction of a modern bridge near Bagratashen border
crossing between the two countries.
The document was signed by Armenian minister of transport and
communication Gagik Beglaryan and Georgian deputy prime minister
Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
Located 200km from Yerevan, Bagratashen is the main land transport
corridor connecting Armenia, through Georgia, with the rest of the
world. EBRD has earlier allocated Æ 10.3 million euro loan to Armenia
to build the bridge.-0-
